2023 Marked the Dawn of a New Era
On 2.3.23, A2 became A3, marking the advent of a third season for this 56-year-old organization. It's been a monumental year as A3 expanded outside of Asia for the first time.
2023 has been full of hope and opportunity. And we wanted to share some of the highlights and stories from this watershed year—it's A3's year-end list. We trust these articles will encourage us as we collectively remember His faithfulness through 2023.

Highlights from this Year
Name Change
- A3’s name change ushered in a new call to be global (Asia and beyond)

Deepening Effectiveness
- Surveyed A3 alumni and the results of our work are encouraging
- Launched new training for leaders of the Persecuted Church
- Launched a curriculum topic on "Generosity" in Indonesia
Expanding Reach
- A3.business global launch with 11 countries now looking to open
- Extension into the MENA (Middle East North Africa) region began to grow
- Received two significant multi-year matching challenge grants to help us grow
- Saw significant momentum in a new region: Central Asia
- Saw great evangelistic fruit in partnership with the BGEA in Vietnam
Growing Influence
- Joe Handley's book, Polycentric Mission Leadership, is becoming a paradigm-changing approach to leadership
- A3/Japan was a key player behind JCE 7, ushering in what many feel is a new era for mission
- A3 leaders played significant roles in the GPro Congress in Panama for Pastor Training
- Joe Handley is pulling together an important book for the Lausanne Congress in concert with Lausanne Colleagues
- Traction built for the new Galilean Movement which A3 is helping launch to equip more Christlike leaders worldwide
