ENCOURAGING REPORTS FROM THE CAUCASUS REGION
Over the past year, the Lord has given me several opportunities to walk alongside pastors and leaders in the Caucasus region. This recent trip—my fifth to Armenia since last December—was especially meaningful. From deepening relationships in our Armenia cohort to surprising doors opening in Georgia, I returned home grateful and encouraged by God’s clear leading.
ARMENIA: A Cohort Growing in Grace
Returning to Armenia felt like stepping into a familiar and joy-filled community. This cohort of 14 pastors has grown remarkably over the past year—not just in skills and learning, but in genuine relational depth. Watching them become a strong learning community has been one of the most encouraging aspects of this journey.
This module facilitated by Joe and Silk focused on marriage and family, and it was beautiful to have many of their spouses join us. For several, this was the first time meeting one another, yet meaningful bonds formed quickly. Seeing couples learn, pray, and laugh together was a powerful reminder that healthy marriages strengthen healthy ministry.
One of the most memorable moments was our celebration dinner. It felt like a graduation even though we’re only at the midpoint of our 8-module journey! Pastors shared heartfelt testimonies about how A3 has been shaping their lives and ministries. We enjoyed games, dancing, incredible Armenian food, and rich fellowship. Their gratitude and joy deeply moved me.
On the final morning, Joe was still recovering from illness, so I facilitated the closing session using the marriage roadmap that he and Silk had prepared. Each couple worked through short- and long-term goals for their marriage, children, extended family, and mission. Listening to their reflections was truly inspiring. It was evident that the Lord had done a deep work in many hearts. Couples left with renewed vision, unity, and hope for the road ahead.
GEORGIA: A Short Trip with Significant Fruit
From Armenia, we traveled briefly to Georgia, and although the visit was short, it proved highly fruitful. We were able to introduce A3 to three denominational bishops, and all of them expressed strong interest in launching A3 in Georgia.
One meeting was particularly encouraging. A Baptist bishop whom Noel met three years ago—at a time when circumstances prevented him from engaging further—shared that the season had shifted. Not only was he now eager and ready, but he had also just been elected Executive Director of the Evangelical Alliance of Georgia, representing seven major denominations. In God’s providence and timing, this new influential role has positioned him to help us connect with pastors and ministry leaders across the country.
He has invited me to return in March or April to meet additional pastors and ministry leaders for an A3 orientation gathering. This unexpected door of opportunity felt like a clear sign of God’s favor.
Grateful and Expectant
As I returned home, my heart was full. In Armenia, I witnessed deep transformation in the lives of pastors and their families. In Georgia, I sensed unmistakable openness and momentum for launching a new cohort.
Through every conversation, every testimony, and every open door, I was reminded again:
The Lord is leading, and His favor is evident.
Please continue praying for the pastors and their families in Armenia and for the emerging possibilities in Georgia. I look forward with expectancy to all that God has in store for this region.
