Viewing A3 Alumni Survey Results

"This is to my Father’s glory, that you bear much fruit, showing yourselves to be my disciples."
John 15:8

Periodically we try to assess whether we are meeting the mark and being fruitful in our overall ministry thus we try various ways to discern how effective we are. Evaluation is crucial to see if we are on target.

This past quarter, we anonymously surveyed our alumni on our effectiveness. The results affirmed what we have discovered in other studies as well as from the stories of impact that we are always hearing. Given the results of this survey and how much they aligned with what we’ve been hearing all along, we thought it worthy to share these with you.

A3 strives to achieve four primary outcomes in every leader, and we structure our program toward these:

  1. LOVING GODA deepening, personal loving relationship
  2. GROWING CHRISTLIKECommunity of leaders, growing in Christlike character
  3. REPRODUCING LEADERSMultiply their impact by nurturing more disciples
  4. CATALYZING MOVEMENTSFostering movements that accelerate the Great Commission

Consequently, we surveyed our alumni to ask how much they have grown in these areas. To be specific, we asked our alumni (with nearly 10% responding), the following questions:

1. How have you grown in your Love Relationship with God?

(scale 5 means exceptional growth and 1 means no growth)

1.) Loving God graph2023

96.7% reported growing to exceptional growth in this area.

1.) Loving God pie 2023

One pastor stated:

An amazing exposure to different ways to have a meaningful relationship with our God. A3 provides a pretty non-judgemental and conducive environment to such growth for me. It happened because I would spend time now in a personal real way of relating to God.”

2. How have you grown as a Christ-like Leader?

2.) Christlike Leader graph2023

97.8% said they had grown or grown substantially.

2.) Christlike Leader pie2023

One of our alumni shared:

"I have learned not to build a relationship with each of my disciples only on the basis of ministry, but through a relationship of accompanying their life to encourage and support so that they can grow to build an intimate relationship with God.

Another stated:

My wife says I have changed!"

3. Have you grown as a Disciple Maker?

3.) Disciplemaking graph2023

93.95% shared that they were growing. A pastor shared:

3.) Disciplemaking pie2023

"My purpose for discipleship training was completely transformed from training disciples to do useful work for the church to training disciples to support their walk in the vision and mission the Lord has given each of them, while deepening their relationship with the Lord."

A different pastor mentioned:

"I’ve so far discipled 100 people since graduating."

4. Have you planted churches or multiplied mission since graduating?

4.) Planting Churches graph2023

71.34% shared that they have planted and/or multiplied mission.

4.) Planting Churches pie2023

One stated:

"There are many church leaders that I’m discipling who are planting churches and ministries.

Another pastor said:

I’ve planted 15 churches since graduating.

These snippets affirm what we’ve been hearing all along." Our alumni see phenomenal results in 3 of our four outcomes.

And, even our fourth outcome, which we know is more challenging and has less overall success, is still fairly effective with over 71% of our alumni sharing that they are either church planting or multiplying ministry.

Praise God for these ongoing results. God is moving in and through A3 and our alumni and we are grateful for your faithful partnership!
