Dear A3 Friends and Family,
Silk and I pray your Easter is filled with joy and blessings. We're thrilled to share that our family has welcomed our first grandchild, Luciana, into the world. Her name means “light" and we pray her life will shine for Jesus.
Watch our brief Easter greeting and then keep reading for more information...
Just as Easter marks the triumph of light over darkness through the resurrection of Jesus, the birth of Luciana reminds us of the beauty of new life and the continuation of God's divine plan. In the Gospel of John, Jesus proclaims,
"I am the light of the world. Whoever follows me will never walk in darkness but will have the light of life."
— John 8:12
Jesus is the "light of the world” and commissions us to be bearers of that light, illuminating the darkness and bringing hope to the world. He exhorts us in Matthew 5:16 to...
"let your light shine before others, that they may see your good deeds and glorify your Father in heaven."
Luciana's arrival deepens our appreciation for the blessing of family and community, reinforcing the importance of love, support, and unity. The Apostle Paul reminds us in Ephesians 5:8,
"For at one time, you were darkness, but now you are light in the Lord. Walk as children of light."
Luciana's presence serves as a reminder of our responsibility to live as children of light, bringing hope to a world often overshadowed by darkness.
Celebrating Jesus, Filled with Gratitude
As we celebrate the resurrection of Jesus and welcome the newest member of our family, we are filled with gratitude for the unwavering support we receive from you for A3. Your encouragement and support empower us to spread the message of hope and love in Japan, throughout many parts of Asia, and into North Africa. Together, as a community of believers, we shine brightly, illuminating the world with God's love and grace.
In the spirit of Easter, may the joy of the resurrection fill your hearts with renewed hope, peace, and love. May your Easter be as bright and joyful as Luciana's name implies and may God's abundant blessings be upon you and your loved ones.
Happy Easter!
Joe & Silk Handley
