Thrive Resilience 2024 web

Are you thriving in life?

A week ago, our Missional Partner Team in Japan was on retreat in Okutama, and it was a rich time together.

Our own Dr. John Houlette led us in "Pathways to Resilience" based on Hebrews 12:1-2:

"Therefore, since we are surrounded by so great a cloud of witnesses, let us also lay aside every weight, and sin which clings so closely, and let us run with endurance the race that is set before us, looking to Jesus, the founder and perfecter of our faith, who for the joy that was set before him endured the cross, despising the shame, and is seated at the right hand of the throne of God."

We processed and learned together ways to balance the rhythms of our lives, rooted in “Fixing our Eyes on Jesus”

It was neat to have Silk and my home church here serving our younger kids along with other churches and friends supporting our gathering.

And what a thrill to see so many new faces. We have our largest group of new missional partners join these last few years across my entire tenure with A3. How exciting!

As you look at John’s slides below:

  1. What are ways that you stay rooted in Christ?
  2. How do you build pathways to resilience?

And pray for us and our teams that we would keep our eyes fixed on Jesus, the author and perfecter of our faith!
