Silk and I have had such a wonderful last few weeks in Japan.
Last week we were moving which brought several aches and pains, even after just day one of the move! However, the last four we were able to travel to many places in country and say farewell for this season of ministry.
Hopefully you have heard that we shift to serving A3 from Los Angeles mainly due to needing to be close to our family. We love living in Japan and will miss being here but at least we got to say farewell to most of our missionaries and several of our national partners. I wish we could’ve seen everyone!

These pictures give you a glimpse of some of our visits. One of the highlights for me was hearing stories of new birth. The Lord is using this COVID-19 season to birth new people and new things. We heard a number of churches who have shifted to digi- and micro- forms of church and see that as a key to evangelism and growth in the future.
Alongside of this, we heard several stories of new baptisms which isn’t something you hear often in Japan. So, clearly, God is doing something new.
How exciting to welcome these new believers into his kingdom. I hope you’ll praise God with me today for what he is doing, even in the midst of such a devastating year.
I’m encouraged that God has a breakthrough right around the corner for Japan and I hope you’ll join me in praying for this new season of life!
