New module geared toward the Persecuted Church making impact
This week I got some feedback from a participant and leader at the recent module we did for the Persecuted church. And we did this in a Southeast Asia country. And, the theme of the training is “Resilience in Persecution”.
Some of the feedback that they gave was the surprise that, in our approach to resilience and endurance in persecution, one big piece of that was their love relationship with God and their spiritual habits and how they are continually restoring themselves in that spiritual vibrancy and life... and how that habit and that formational kind of experience, it strengthens them to endure in persecution—prepares them.
So it was interesting because they said it was like things that we know—these habits and this talk—we know about this, but tying it to enduring in persecution and growing in our resilience was a whole new way of looking at it. They said it was like bringing the same kind of ingredients they're accustomed to but cooking up a whole different dish. And they were so appreciative.
Along with that—and this is very different from that particular feedback—another person commented on how much they appreciated the information about local laws and legal practices and how they could respond in those kind of situations just in terms of the legal dimension. And so that also was hugely practical and helpful. And so those are just a couple of the things that they really appreciated from that training.
So we're excited now to take it to the third iteration and to another country in Southeast Asia and develop it further. And we're just excited about how it's blessing and empowering these people living in really hard places.
