What a privilege to host Chinzorig and Ariuntuul Jigjidsuren from Mongolia in our home last week. Silk and I picked them up at Dana Point where we had a nice brunch together before heading up the coast to our home. They enjoyed seeing the Pacific Ocean from the cliffs of Laguna Beach (pictured here) along the way.
That same evening, we hosted some 30 friends to learn more about what God was doing in Mongolia. Little did we know the amazing stories we would hear. Chinzorig, or "Chinzo" as we call him, is the national director of A3/Mongolia and he shared how when he became a believer in 1996 there were only about 10 churches in the entire country — all of them led by foreign missionaries. I am very encouraged by the appointment of Mr. Kazuaki "Kaz" Uemura to our A3 Board of Directors. Mr. Uemura is one of a few Japanese speaking estate planning attorneys in the South Bay area of Southern California. His firm, Law Offices of Kazuaki Uemura, also specializes in business law, civil litigation and real estate law.
Kaz serves as chairman of his church missions committee at Palos Verdes Baptist Church, a church very interested and committed to Japan. He has led several mission trips to Japan and is connected to a few A3 staff already. His passion for Japan is obvious...
It's a gorgeous day here at Megumi Chalet in Karuizawa, Japan. The air is fresh, the flora is captivating, and the atmosphere is peaceful. As I pray and reflect this beautiful spring afternoon, I'm mindful of the importance of prayer.

The last few weeks, I have been powerfully struck by hearing several amazing stories of what God is doing across Asia through leader development alumni of A3. As you have heard, the triple disaster that hit Japan two years ago brought about a spiritual hunger like I have never seen before there.
I have heard many firsthand stories from Japanese people who have had dreams and visions about Jesus—similar to the Muslim world. People are coming to Christ in handfuls because of their spiritual searching. Often God leads them to talk with pastors and missionaries in surprising and miraculous ways.
