Elaine Metcalf embarked on her final journey yesterday, arriving at the eternal home we all yearn for—a place of perfect peace and joy. She is now cradled in the everlasting arms of her beloved Lord and Savior. Praise be to God for His faithful promise of eternal life.

When I was first invited for A3, I was quite reluctant because I had just finished my MTh (Master of Theology), and I didn't want to go through another course, so to speak. But then I was reassured that it's not a course of lots of reading, but it's something different. So I said, “Okay, fine. If that's what it is, I probably would join in.”

From June 9–11, A3/Japan partnered with VisionSynergy to host a dynamic Catalyst Training workshop, equipping leaders across Japan to foster greater missionary collaboration. This training wasn’t just theoretical—it was birthed out of a shared vision that emerged during our time at the 4th Lausanne Congress (L4) and JCE7. At both gatherings, a key message rang loud and clear: mission cooperation is essential for the future of the global Church.

Before coming to A3, I was a leader in a liminal space—transitioning from what was to what is about to come. I felt anxious, doubtful, and undeserving of this once-in-a-lifetime opportunity. But the invitation I heard from God through our first quiet time during the A3 retreat at the Christian Development Centre in Tagaytay was:

BY EDMUND CHAN
“Not that I have already obtained all this, or have already arrived at my goal, but I press on to take hold of that for which Christ Jesus took hold of me. Brothers and sisters, I do not consider myself yet to have taken hold of it. But one thing I do: Forgetting what is behind and straining toward what is ahead, I press on toward the goal to win the prize for which God has called me heavenward in Christ Jesus. All of us, then, who are mature should take such a view of things. And if on some point you think differently, that too God will make clear to you. Only let us live up to what we have already attained.”
— Philippians 3:12-16

Recently the long-awaited Nepal cohort for A3’s Women in Ministry (WIM) has finally launched. There has been so much excitement and anticipation for this launch. The women in the cohort were so thankful to have WIM start! They worshiped and laughed and cried together — and experienced many inner healings.
