While in Cambodia...
I asked Dr. Perry Bowers why he would take a few weeks of his time to come to Cambodia to train only 12 pastors when he could be training thousands of pastors in other settings.
His answer:
Leverage!
He essentially said,
"I know that these 12 men will apply what they are learning and will pass it on to their congregations. They learn more in this setting than they would in a group of a thousand because they interact with one another in community as we're learning together. In addition, I believe each of these pastors probably influences another 30-50 churches and pastors so the leverage in training is extensive."
This is why Jesus called us at A3 to follow his example...He chose 12 men and from those 12, He changed the world!
What an opportunity the Lord has given us - to pass on what we have learned to capable men that they might pass them on to others!
