What a month this has been… Silk and I were in Japan for our annual staff retreat… Then, I got to be with my colleague Pastor Yoshiya Hari for several days in America.
In 2003 Samuel Escobar wrote about global mission as being from everywhere to everyone (Escobar, The New Global Mission). Well over a decade later, Allen Yeh while assessing the centenary celebrations from Edinburgh 1910, reframed the idea as from everyone to everywhere. (Yeh, Polycentric Missiology). Today, global mission reflects these realities as well as the insights from Jay Matenga on Indigenous Mission (Matenga, Centring the Local).
A week ago, our Missional Partner Team in Japan was on retreat in Okutama, and it was a rich time together.

Not long ago, I received an amazing report from one of our Middle East partners… We have been working with them to equip leaders (mostly bi-vocational pastors) to walk deeper with God, grow in Christ-like character, multiply leaders and accelerate mission—usually in very creative ways!
